I never felt so empowered as when I turned the most challenging time in my life into my life’s work.
My name is Kim Fuller and I am a bad ass. Yes, I am claiming that. This may sound crazy and egotistical but I have worked hard to get to this confident place. OH, and by the way, I believe you are an incredible bad ass too.
I also believe YOU BELONG HERE. You saw something that peeked your interest, felt a calling or a desire to finally step into your incredible gifts and light. I bet you are curious, a seeker and looking for a community that is ready to dive in.
Welcome. YOU HAVE ARRIVED.
I have met so many incredible women in my life as a photographer, and through the lens of my camera have watched them shift from fear to courage in a matter of an hour. They play, try on a personality or new outfit and realize that their fear of being seen, as they really are, can shift to the joy and freedom of showing up authentically. They realize the importance of standing in their greatness, baby. And I have also seen the same thing at the Born to Rise™ Women’s storytelling events. Women claim their stories and stand in them with worthiness and grace.
I practice what I preach through self-examination in my meditation practice and studying the Buddhist Dharma for the past 18 years. I have learned to watch my thoughts, my attachments, judgments and the assumptions I make about people and situations. I practice awakening to what is real and in the present moment verses what I make up about life. I have practiced listening to my intuition, expanding my consciousness, compassion and empathy and realize my connection to everyone.
This helps me remember that I matter. WE ALL MATTER.
My Story
One of my most empowering experiences was writing and sharing my story on the Tedx stage. It shifted my trauma to triumph, gave me clarity and purpose, and helped me realize the importance of living with more compassion and love for myself, and those around me. I was scared to death to share my story, but quickly saw from the audience, why it’s so important.
I created Born to Rise™ to give more women this same opportunity to share their personal stories
The journey began for me when my husband, two teenagers and I, adopted a young boy. It was an extremely challenging time as we navigated his early traumas. His outbursts tested my patience, compassion and awareness of who I expected him to be. He reminded me to see him as he was and not who I wanted him to become. He taught me to love him without fear of some particular outcome or return and to hold space for him to be on his unique journey. He was my greatest spiritual teacher.
I shared all of it in my book “Finding” (never imagined I would write a book) and on the Tedx stage. (my first big talk) Phew, that was scary AND, it was also possible with the right mind set.
Creativity, mindfulness and meditation and the support from my people,
were the pillars of my greatest expansion and awakening.
And when I shared my story, my mess became my message.
Why mindfulness is the key.
When you are a mindful leader
You become aware of your fears, doubts and worries and have the tools to shift into courage, confidence and peace of mind.
You are free from ego, jealousy and judgment and become more in tune, supportive and connected with your people.
You care more about others, knowing that their well being is also your well being.
You are more in tune with inspiration, your intuition, flow and love, which empowers you to lead, live and connect with joy and less stress.
You step into your greatest strengths and potential with confidence and have the ability to take action with courage.
Your inner transformation becomes an outer inspiration.
